Samsung NV10 bought in 2006 needed a new lens due to bad focus after a year. After that it has worked well until this year it has begun having trouble focusing again. Still usable, butI loose the odd snapshot now and then. So a micro four thirds is in my future

The oldest digital cameras that I still have are the Leicasonic D-Lux 3, and the D300. I've had them for maybe 5 years or a bit longer.

Canon G2, 4 Megapix bought in 2001 together with a 1Gb mini harddrive was my first digital photocamera.
Still use it for taking gear shots! So 10 + years!

(the second digital was already a rangefinder, the Epson RD-1s, which I later sold and replaced with the Leica M8.2).

D2x and R-D1s since 2005. Both work perfectly, used every week.

BTW: The poll tells me that I voted while I did not. Hmmmm.

You cannot use the word "Old" and "Digital Camera" in the same sentence can you?

I know you can use "Old Leica", "Old film camera", "Old Rolleiflex" etc.

Of course you can. Old is relative. Digital cameras at an accessible price point have only been in production for around 13 years, so if you're working with a 10 year old camera it's pretty darn old.

My old E-1 just keeps going. :) My old Leicas and old folders do too.

I have a camera that is one of several I keep in my car at all times because if I don't carry a camera with me all sorts of wonderful photo ops turn up. It is a Hewlett Packard HP215 Photo Smart point-and-shoot that hails from around 2001. Nice little basic camera with a thundering 1 MP (actually 1.3MP). Fun, stupidly simple and easy to haul out and use. In my car I normally carry a DSLR with a variety of lenses and a film camera or two that I am testing to see if they actually work. I belong to a Photo Cargo Cult. Every week, it seems, a new old camera appears at my door. Orphans looking for a good home. Refugees from an uncaring digital world. The flotsam and jetsum of our use-it-up-and-throw-it-away culture.

The other huge advantage of the D70 is the flash synch speed of 1/1000 th using non-Nikon flashes. This made it possible to use fill-in flash routinely outdoors in sunlight.

FujiFilm advanced SLR-like shaped P&S, with large zoom built-in lens . 2005 model, purchased in 2007, new, price was well under $300.
I used it a lot, in AV and M modes, long exposure, etc., until 2009 (DSLR) and my wife still using it.
Camera takes Fuji RAW files, but JPEG1 ones are highly usable.
We have several family portraits printed from this camera.
