I love using my two M4/3 cameras with some SLR lenses. Here, I used the Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 in QMB mount (designed for the Rollei SLR system).

It was cold. I tried shooting through the window glass and also shooting without obstacles by opening the window slightly. My family would then ask me to close the window since it was ice cold.

I use an Olympus OM 50mm 1.8 adapted, which was quite nice when carrying the OM-1 travelling, as the lens could be used in both systems. Infact it is much better than the kit zoom or the Sigma 19mm I now have.
I would wish for focus peaking though. My adapter is a $10 from ebay and infinity is reached around the 10m mark, so the scale is wrong. Using magnification gives fantastic results but is inconvenient.

I agree with you that using the 10x magnification greatly assists with focusing.

Nice photos, just looks way to cold for me. Would like to ask a few questions about using 4/3 camera with SLR lens. I have a Olympus E-PL5 and bought a inexpensive adapter, $13 to use my Nikon lens on. The only way so far of getting decent photos is keeping the camera on Auto. Is this the norma?

Hi David,
This is up to you.
I use ISO 100 or 200 for best colors, and I use "natural colors" setting.
Yes, I use AUTO.

Hi raid
Thank you, I was trying to use manual and getting nothing. I tried Auto last and had a micro lens and starting getting some fair photos, but realized for my shaky old hands a tripod was in order.
I have been confined to home since last month recovering from surgery. And its driving me bonkers. Bought a new to me Canon P and am so ready to get out and shoot some film.

Take it one day at a time, David. Surgery is not a small issue. Take care.
