Hi all! As a background, I bought this lens used in 2009, and it had a slight amount of the dreaded "Zeiss wobble". I lived with it for a couple years, but finally sent it out to Sherry Krauter to get repaired last month.
Unfortunately, she sent it back about a month later with the following note: "Lens was tampered with: One lens head is stripped, and made it impossible to completely disassemble the lens." She couldn't give me any further detail on the issue.
I'm wondering if any of you guys would know what exactly this means - whether it is a simple enough fix that another tech could figure it out, or if I should send it back to Zeiss (which I'm guessing will be $$$). I haven't heard of the wobble being un-fixable for any other users, but maybe you guys can shed some light on the issue.

Could that be "one lens head SCREW" ?.........

That's what I was guessing - I never got confirmation on it, though (edit: the note is verbatim from the repair, but it could be a typo). Is the lens head the front section of elements in a lens?
