I like the restriction of a prime lens on the M8 and the compactness of the 27mm [ 41 ] on the X-Pro .
It seems to be odd to have just one lens for the x-Pro , so I was considering selling a IIIC to fund a zoom ...
It's no different than my SRT with 45mm or 50mm back in the day - I seldom used any other lens .

However , the point of the x-Pro for me at the same price [ £300 ] as my Sony A290 ] is that compactness with the excellent ' pancake ', the zoom would mess with this .

I am more tempted to but a Leica badged 25mm for the Panasonic L1 , which would give my favourite 'vintage' DSLR a new lease of life .

I know that it does not make sense , but I have a 35mm f1.8 for the Sonys and the nominal 50mm would make the L1 more manageable , and I don't NEED a zoom with the X-Pro .

I guess that this is a statement as I recognise that a 40-50mm equivalent , plus a
100mm or so would suit me fine [ 35-80=nom 50-120 on the Sony ] but it's a surprise conclusion .
