I have here a fully functioning Zorki 6 camera with Industar 22 lens in full leather case, which I have been given when I first became interested in RF photography. It is in very nice condition, the lens is clean, the camera was "A-d" - means adjusted - I do not know about cleaning or lubricating...
I'm ready to give it away to any member of this forum but preferably to someone who is in similar situation as I was - trying to learn more about RF, or russian cameras or screw mount lenses... The future owner will have to FIRSTLY pay for the postage (via paypal) - not much, the czech post is quite cheap - and SECONDLY - after some time (few months) I'll very much appreciate to recieve one or two (or three :) ) prints (preferably wet ones) to see what have you used this camera for. After this you could keep this camera and use it or you can pass it again in similar way.
Those who are interested, just PM me :)

PS: I'll add a picture here when I find out how to post them directly (not as a link to some other site)

An amazing, generous offer! Bravo, andreios!

Here's hoping a truly needy person gets this and we don't see it reappear on the bay in a week or two.

What a truly generous offer! The idea of someone getting it, sending you some prints and then offering it back here for some prints is a nice thought!!

I love it, a great idea.

If no one takes you up on it I have a friend in California who uses photography to teach migrant worker children and inner city kids that they can make make something of themselves that I will buy it for. Neil is a great guy and I've given a lot of old stuff to him over the years.

Thanks for the great idea.

B2, I happen to get to know Neil from the other mailing list. Can't think of a better person to get this camera.

Thanks for replies and PMs. I'll wait a day or two and then decide to whom I'll send the camera.

Perhaps I should've mentioned it in the first post, but I expect from those who are interested in getting into this sort of project to tell me about their experience w/ RFs and cameras in general. Just a line or two. Thanks!
B2 - that's really a nice idea. Could you PM me some details or a contact? I might have some other cameras which I do not desire to make worldly profit from.. :)

You know we get a lot of people around here from the Czech Rep. What is it about your culture that that promotes this kind of altruism. All the Czech people i have met here have been generous people with a `different' take on capitalism.

This is a wonderful gesture andreios

PS. Stevem, see this happens over here.

There are some 5 people interested in this "thing", I'll close the "applications" tonight and contact you all tomorrow (Sunday) at the latest.

Well... The Zorki will go to Greece, where there is the biggest need for it. I'll provide the new holder of the camera w/ user names of the other interested members in case he'd like to send the camera to some other place. :)
Thanks to RFF and to you all

That was very nice of you - I hope the recipient makes good use of it.

I've been itching to play with a FSU camera but couldn't justify throwing my hat into the ring. I hope the user in Greece makes good use of it. :)

One of these days I'll find a body for the Industar 61 LD I picked up a few months ago. If only a FED 2 or Zorki 4/4k fell from the sky. :)
