I use my M8 in black and white a lot ... but am being seduced slowly by it's ability to render colour ... so things may change.

Because I have a M4 and M6 I don't need an IR filter

What a shame, a M8 needs to have the use of an IR filer...!

The 21 & 75 Leica lenses wear Leica filters.

15, 28, 35, 50 (x2), 90 all wear or share B+W 486 filters. (When my 35 Summicron gets back from Leica 6-bit encoding, I'll buy it a Leica UV/IR filter too.)

All my leica lenses are not 6-bit coded, should I still mount the UVIR filters to my lenses?
If yes, should I turn on the "lens detection" option in the manuel to "enablee + UVIR filter"?
