Poll! Do you use your IR filters

Yes. I believe in the theory of an overlaid out-of-focus IR image impairing sharpness...

All my leica lenses are not 6-bit coded, should I still mount the UVIR filters to my lenses?
If yes, should I turn on the "lens detection" option in the manuel to "enablee + UVIR filter"?

Thanks!

All lenses longer than 35. The lens detection option has no function in this case. You can use shorter lenses filtered, but you will have to correct in post using cornerfix.

Only have one filter for my 35mm Summicron and 15mm CV. I always regret not having the IR filter on. Maybe if I shot nudes exclusively...

It's 100 days and I'm waiting for my filters from Leica.

I requested my filters on May 2nd. I emailed today to ask when then might arrive.

Ms. Brand-Gerheim replied promptly and said that I should expect them to be delivered today.

And they were.

All of the time.

Especially on the Noctilux which is used mainly for night time/ indoor/ artificial light shots (night clubs/ bars restaurants - IR central!).

All the time. I'm with Jaap, B&W is sharper with them than without them. The IR may lighten dark clothing a bit, but it makes faces pasty and slightly unsharp.
