have a nikon S rangefinder,excellent condition,except the #2 curtain is not timing out. curtain #1 and 2, move sideways as you cock ,advance shutter. fire shutter to take pic. and both curtains move back to original position. no timing of shutter occuring.i know #2 curtain release mechanism located just below the speed dial probable cause. any one have knowledge of level of difficulty,speciality tools needed, i guess can i do repair,or advice on where repair can be done ,what costs. thanks

Do yourself a favor and have a professional technician look at it. I bought a Nikon M several years back that was much like your S. I just sent it out to a good repair guy and it came back like a new camera. Money well spent.
