The Official RFF FIFA World Cup 2010 Thread

poor Müller, having to watch his team get pipped, while he could have been the one to turn that match around.
how convenient for the spanish, probably the best team in the world, to be able to finally show their best game in the cup against the best team of the tournament. it was also a very psychologic game.

we will have a first time world champion this year, probably Spain, if they can keep up that level now (and if they let Pedro play instead of Torrez again)!

and to all the supporters of the german team: 4 stars don't look as cool as 3 :D

They managed to completely destroy the german game. Too bad. The simply were the better team today.

As a lifelong supporter of the Germans I have to second this. The Spanish dominated the midfield and as a result earned a well deserved win.

With that said, I am filled with pride as the team (Germans) showed real class and style throughout the tournament. A hearty "gute arbeit" to the boys!

 Oh well. I'm still a little stunned, because our team looked nothing like the last games at all. Kind of like Argentina looked against us...

my brother lives in the netherlands, I would sure like the dutch to win this thing (they have been waiting way longer for a title), too bad that, in theory, the spanish are simply better. :D

secret champion of the cup is still Ghana.

Hem...
fortunately none of you has still realized that the field invader was ITALIAN: kind of shame... :bang: :bang: :bang:

IMHO, The Oranje style of playing is more dangerous for the Spanish team than Germany. Their counter-attacks are very fast, and Robben and Sjneider are a step above Özil and Müller, frankly...

not to sure about that, but most probably true for Özil&Trochowski or Gomez&Kroos ;)

be sure to keep an eye on that Van Bronckhorst when he's crossed the centre line :D

Spanish dominance and deserved victory. German team that did wonders in earlier matches just blend into mass of receiving side. unpredictable cup, I expected Brazil to win, then Germany... but thats the name of the game :D

Congratulations to Spain -- Spain very clearly had the better team (and especially a very much better coach!) and has deserved to play the final. :(

So now that we are out: hup, Holland, hup!

When Gomez came in ( ) I knew that we have no chance to turn the game.

agreed. Marin would have been much more dangerous for the spanish, but I'm just sitting here being wise while others take the wrong decisions :D and, as said before, Müller was the missing link, which is incredible for a 20 year old rascal from the depth of Bavaria!

IF the spanish win the final, I would like to see them score more than one or two goals for once.
here's something they can learn from the german kindergarten!

I did think Spain were the better team on the day and deserved to win. However I find them kind of irritating to watch, like the way Barcelona are irritating to watch after a while. You wonder why they try to pass the ball into the net all the time instead of shooting a bit more often...
