Last night my wife saw my stash for the first time in a couple of years. Her comment was: "You are sick" So it is time to pare down. Here is a tough one: Nikon FM3A or Zeiss Ikon? Which should I sell? Love them both, but in some ways they are very similar. What would you do?:bang:

You expect a rangefinder forum to tell you to keep the FM3a? ;)

Also, will selling one camera make a significant impact with regard to your wife's observation? :)

If the Ikon is not your only RF, stick to the FM3A. Its always nice to have the opportunity to shoot with different systems.

It's very simple. Don't keep your stash all in one place. If you don't look guilty you can get away with a lot more. Good Luck. Joe

Keep it all, hide it better, change the subject should future questions arise.

What to keep/sell off would depend on what other gear you have. Surely one camera isn't going to make a difference. Perhaps you could show your wife pictures or lists of the stashes of others so she can see what true sickness is. (I mean that in a good way.)

I think we need to see a picture of this alleged "stash". :)
Don't get too excited. To my wife one camera is enough.

Don't sell anything you really want to keep. How much gear you have is your decision, not hers. She is crossing a boundary and stepping on your toes. Be firm. She'll get over it.

From your photo, you don't have much of a problem. I think I've got more Exakta's than that and I can't remember the last time I used one. Joe

Whew, I just found a spare closet in the kid's old room. Will move most of it today, but wait a minute, one of the reasons I keep all this stuff, is cuz I like just looking at it. I guess I am sick.

I have been living in sin with my girlfriend for over a decade (not married), but I bought her a massive diamond ring anyway.

Now I have a permanant "get outa jail" card that never expires.

When the M9 first came out she offered to buy me one if I wanted one.

Moral of the story is don't get married unless you have to.

Second moral: Anytime I spent a lot of money to make a woman happy I never regretted it.

BTW my girlfriend calls my spread of cameras "a camera farm" because it keeps growing.
