I sometimes wish I was a minimalist.

I think your entire collection would weigh less than my Fujifilm GX680.

But my wife and I have an ongoing competition to see which of us can own more bags. She started to pull ahead after I found my Billingham, but since then I've retaken the lead with a couple of Kata backpacks.

She owns way more hammers than I do, though.

Well from a guy whose closet is packed top to bottom with camera related stuff including 9 film cameras+2digitals all of which my wife kindly refuses to acknowledge.I know I'm blessed 🙂

PS She has mentioned throwing this computer in the garbage several time so I guess it's a wash🙄

Gaspar... Wow. I'm sort of at a loss for words.

Granted, I'm sitting on a larger volume but most of that is my sub-$50 stack of repair projects. I plan on parting with most of that by the end of the year as it's beyond excessive at this point and I've settled on what works well for me. Still haven't shot with an M though so I suppose there is always that risk in that bug biting. 😉

I'm in the same boat as you. I started with a single camera and was happy for about 20 years, when I discovered eBay. Now I own seven cameras, but that's not what drives my wife crazy, it's the constant coming and going of them.

She'll sometimes complain along the lines of "you used to be happy with one camera and 4 lenses, why can't you be now?" (and she's right, of course). On the other hand she has declared that she is not really getting involved with my buying and selling anymore, so I guess I'm home free... 😀

After seeing your stash, I agree with all the others. Sell nothing, you don't really have a problem.

I have laughed and related to most responses except from the other direction. I am female with more cameras than shoes. I have 2 cameras.

I think my boyfriend has more than 40 pairs of shoes lying around the house. If he was a size 7 it would probably be OK - they might fit in a large box. At size 14, we could fill a whole room with his shoes!

Luckily, we both see the light side of it all.

This is the best thing to do.

However I an now following the 'one camera in, another out rule'. Contax T came in, Minox GT-E went out (still got the Minox GT though 😉, sticky shutter problem so I can't really sell it. I am trying to sell my Rollei 35 SE at the mo, I have just purchased a Corfield WA67.:dance:

Actually, I would give the classic Jewish advice about the goat:

1. Buy something large to dwarf all of this. I suggest a Pentax 67 with 25 lenses, or a Mamiya RZ67 with 10 lenses and 3 tripods.
2. When your wife notices, she will present you with an ultimatum (her or this thing); then sell it. The sacrifice will surely be appreciated ever after and serve as an example to your grandchildren.

The problem is, what if you get to use and like the 6x7?
 
Agree with some of the other posters - this is not that many cameras.

The problem is - this looks like a mess. It doesn't /look/ like you care about the cameras that much. If it looked neat and organized you'd get a pass. Find some sort of combo drawers and shelving unit where you can put /all/ the accessories in the drawers and only the cameras would be visible, neatly arranged. All the filters and lens cleaner, etc. The how-to books and CD-ROM spindles belong elsewhere. Also, I keep the straps wrapped around the cameras, so that they can't be pulled down or pull something else down with it.
