I just sold my Ikon and it was a choice between it or my M2.
That Leica thing ... it's hard to escape, especially when you have just sold what is undeniably the better camera.

Just tell your wife the old saw:
"Never let your mistress find out about your girlfriend."
That should keep her preoccupied for awhile.
On a more technical note, keep the FM3a - they are out of production, forever, and are the last "mechanical" Nikon made. ZM Ikons are in production and more available in any case.
