A stellar performer and an iconic lens. Complete with hood.

Wonderful! There are only a few members who own this very rare lens. It is good to see one that is being used. Please share more!
Will do! It's certainly a very rare lens, and use it as one of my favorite lenses
Great images shown here! Thanks.
I have such a lens. I sometimes use it with the F2, with mirror-lockup.
Raid, the F-mount version of this lens is not rare (but just as good). This is the S-mount version, only a few hundred lenses were made. It is one of the rarest lenses for the S-mount, and highly coveted by collectors.
Yes, you are correct. My version is not rare. I was just being practical. I have done the same with a Canon 19/3.5 which is not the rare RF version. The glass is the same.
The main downside with such non-retro focus lenses is that they cannot be used with Leica M digital cameras. I am not sure if these lenses work well with other brand digital cameras or not. I also have a Rokkor 21/4 with an adapter Rokkor-Leica. The rear glass elements get too close to the sensor.
Holy cow UV76! Not one, but two! Are they both yours? I thought there was a limit of one per person...hehe...
Thanks for sharing these photos. Richard Haw recently tested the F-mount 2.1cm lens on his website, including lots of digital samples. I a little surprised at how poorly the lens performed on digital. It is clear to me that there are many better choices for a 21mm lens on digital cameras, but this lens is best suited for its original purpose.

No downside.
S mount 21/4 can be mounted on Z6 body using a combination of SHOTEN Z to Leica M andRayqual SC-NZ.O adapter. See the image with 21/4 in different generation bodies (S mount 21/4 on S3, F mount 21/4 on F and S mount 21/4 with adapters on Z6)
You need to remount to shoot 7ft to inf or 3ft to 5ft. For 5-7ft, it seems to interfere with adapter rim hence need to step forward or back to reach above 7ft or below 5ft. I also know people using S mount 21/4 with Leica M10 (in monochorme only since the protruded lens does not effectuate color sensor properly but works fine in monochrome). I have tried F mount 21/4 but the protruded rear element is longer than S mount hence cannot mount to Z6.
Please try at your own risk.
Not perfect but ostensibly works for all practical purposes... See the sample shots using Z6 + 21/4 (S mount)
raid I guess there are many digital format optimized lenses for Leica (Summilux, Skopar etc.) out there, I use my 21/4 almost exclusively on film.
Hiked up the snowy mountains with 2.1cm f4 and S4 on a very fine day.
