I too like HP sauce...pour it on my shepherd's pie with some Coleman's on the side. And one of these days, I'm going to get me one of those Rollei 35s. So, concur--nice camera, nice sauce!
 
50 USD combo of Nikkormat FTN and 105/2.5 Nikkor lens. Lots of labor involved though: Basic design of Nikkormat body is pretty sweet, with a single big module containing the shutter, speed escapement and self-timer mechanisms. Once extracted from the camera body, it's a breeze to clean and lubricate. But wow was there lots of foam in need of replacement! Foam around the prism, meter movement, eyepiece, in- and underneath mirror box as well as film chamber. Lots of thoughtful internal details which would've made this not-so-cheap to manufacture. Inner workings of lens weren't too shabby either.

My well-worn mug from Denver's Science Museum, Agfa Isolette III camera, a sweet Saturday morning treat from the farmer's market, and a few boxes of Foma's colorfully packaged film. Camera was another inexpensive fixer-upper, but I really ended up working for my discount with this one, and needed multi-day soaks in solvent in order to free up the focusing helicoid and rangefinder. I've gotten satisfactory results from the camera with the original (patched) bellows, but will want to replace the bellows at some point.

An operating system that is not intuitive enough, can ruin a good product. It can be said that the operating system,
which was not friendly enough for photographers at the time, is what drove down the sales of the minolta 9xi.
Add to that, the fact that Minolta were not smart enough to offer serious lenses for the professional customers of the
camera, and here you have the dismal result of a camera left on the shelves without interest in it.
No wonder Minolta released the Minolta 9 - their latest flagship camera - with a less harmonious, flowing and elegant design.
And not that it helped them in sales, for the simple reason that professional photographers of the time,
abandoned film cameras in favor of digital photography.
Nowadays, when we are accustomed to operating DSLR cameras, working with a camera of the Minolta 9xi type
is no different from other cameras. For me, the 9xi Minolta will forever remain in the collective memory,
as one of the most beautiful cameras ever created.

I agree with this. Actually there are some functions that are not even mentioned on the manual (I.e. displaying which sensor is used for focusing on the subject).
