Comparison - 50mm Summar, Canon f1.2 ltm, Voigt f1.5 v2

How do you use such a lens on a modern Leica camera?

makes sense. Thanks. It is almost useless to me then.

Yes it would be a bit of work though I'd love to see some results. Especially close-up work. Some of the close-up examples from the Alpha adaption above look really nice!

Subsequently the Mikro Summar were born, specialized optics for close-up photography, with RMS screw pitch: they were never fully cataloged and were sold not through normal photographic channels but in the scientific equipment sector.

They were recommended for excellent color rendition in close-up photography.

Brusby, love your photography. Your portraits are beautiful and beautifully lit.

Love this one: Vivian's Family series. Well done!

You're very kind. Much appreciated raydm6.

I met Vivian when she opened a terrific little Vietnamese restaurant near my home. We became friends and whenever I'd stop by to eat, she'd ask what I was was up to. Often I'd be coming from a photoshoot and she always seemed to like seeing the raw images. Then recently she asked if I'd make some photos of her lovely family, which I was happy to do. We met at a local park where there was a place I had in mind which would have been a nice backdrop. Unfortunately the park was so crowded that spot was unusable. So I had to scramble to find a more secluded space where the light was nice, and I got lucky. Those photos are all natural backlight with no fill or supplementation. We were really rushing because the sun was disappearing fast.

My "pay" was the most delicious Vietnamese home cooked meal and some great hospitality. Left my shoes at the door.

Thanks so much!!!
