Dear Board,
I took another chance on Ebay. For the money it seems to work just fine and the shutter doesn't look like a crumpled ball of aluminum foil.
Time will tell.

I've just bought a Rollei 28,5mm "Hellblau" hoping it was like an 82A so I could have a coated replacement for the photax 82A filter I already have, but it's a bit darker and looks a bit greenish blue /cyan in comparison, and as I can't find an info about what colour-correction filter Rollei's "Hellblau" is meant to be equivalent to, I've got no idea what to use it for.
I also bought a Yashica B30 Red filter, which is coated so I can use it to replace the "Cineamex" red that I have now. It does have "Yashica" and "Pat" around the edge of the front of the glass which you can see when holding the filter rear-side down on a surface, but put it face-side down and you can't see it!?

I've just bought a metal B+W 22.5mm lens hood for my Petri Compact/Half/Junior and it screws into my Hoya 22.5mm UV filter properly, which can't be said for the metal 22.5mm lens cap which I bought quite a while ago. You can screw it part way and it stays in but it never tightens up and can fall out if you don't turn it exactly the right amount to stay in. It does this with my other filters (Sigma 22.5mm for their 500mm lens). Curiously though, it does screw into the camera's thread and tighten up properly.
Unfortunately the new lens hood blocks about 1/5th of the viewfinder. The makeshift lens hood I made by screwing together three 22.5mm Sigma filter holders I broke the glass out of doesn't, but I'm not sure if it'll cause vignetting.

Broke my vow to stop buying stuff.
Even though I already have several...no, make that "many" 50mm Nikkor lenses I went on a quest for the 50mm ƒ/1.8 AI-S pancake lens made for the Japanese market. It came last week and it's a sweetheart. It's a little hard to get used to the size but it has been making beautiful quality photos. Sharp? Oh yeah!
All the 50mm Nikkors I own are excellent. I guess I'm now an unofficial collector.

I've had a couple of RFF'ers suggest/recommend that I add a 180/2.8 Olympia Sonnar to my arsenal of Hasselblad 1000f/1600f lenses. It's definitely a tempting lens but looks to be quite the monster. There's one example that I've been keeping my eye on but in the meantime I came across another lens that seemed to be even more intriguing -- a 12.5cm f/2 (yes f/2!) Schneider-Göttingen lens. I'm pretty sure this lens was adapted to fit the Hasselblad 1000f/1600f and not originally made for it, as the lens appears to be of Wartime or even pre-Wartime vintage (plus it's uncoated). I've seen pictures of this lens affixed to a Fritz Volk Handkammer (aerial camera), so I'm not sure if this one is a variation of that particular lens type. I should have it in-hand tomorrow so I'll post a picture of it.
Could someone enlighten me -- Schneider-Göttingen vs Schneider-Kreuznach?

I bought a bargain Elmar 9cm f4 from robertscamera's ebay store. I need to do a quick disassembly to clean some light haze (which was disclosed in the item description, of course) but I really like it so far.
I miss having this focal length on my rangefinders, so lately I've been trying a few different and relatively inexpensive options. The Elmar 90mm in particular appeals to me because it's so small and light (smaller than I expected, even) and has a nice vintage rendering.

I bought an Olympus XA2_ A11 flash for parts or repair on ebay to use to try to learn and fix the broken one I have (the gear for the film advance doesn't work), turns out both work. I didn't get burned this time lol

Bought a Summilux-M 35mm ASPH from robertscamera's ebay store, but now the card slot on my M10 won't work so I've bought a bunch of B&W chemicals and some HP5 from B&H so that I can shoot some 4x5 film with my Crown Graphic while I wait to get my M10 back from Leica.

Bought a film back for the Bronica S2A and the TTL prism finder, haven't arrived yet. I'm sure I'll use the back more than the finder.

Do you know if the finder came with the thin adapter ring for the shutter speed dial?Bought a film back for the Bronica S2A and the TTL prism finder, haven't arrived yet. I'm sure I'll use the back more than the finder.

Super - that thin ring is usually what’s missing.

Lomo LC-A and Cosina CX-2 (with the motor winder). It will be fun to compare those two cameras - the original one and the copy.

Looks like you've totally fallen down the S2A rabbit hole. Congratulations! It could be worse (like Rolleiflex 6x6 SLRs, aagghh!!!). I'm not sure how practical that TTL prism finder is, but it's certainly cool looking. No doubt it's also dead accurate, if the metered chimney finder for the EC is any indication. Vince Lupo couldn't figure out what the switches do on his finder. Do you know?Bought a film back for the Bronica S2A and the TTL prism finder, haven't arrived yet. My suggestion for the next addition: a 645 back. I like to use mine when I'm feeling stingy, and for certain landscapes that just won't tolerate being squeezed into 6x6. The great thing is that there is no need to switch screens, install a mask, etc. The framelines are already on the screen. The 645 backs are scarce, but not much pricier, if you're lucky. Also, they have even more shiny chrome than the standard back. No such thing as too much chrome!

That is a very nice lens, I love mine. Such a nice travel setup combined with an FM-style body. Ask @dourbalistar, he shoots this combo all the time.Broke my vow to stop buying stuff.

From how many pieces does one become an "unofficial collector"?. . . . I guess I'm now an unofficial collector.
And - does that include 55mm focal lengths?

Ny informal criterion for "collector" status is this: If you've owned it for more than three months, and never used it, the item has become a part of your "collection", thereby making you a "collector". Whether you want to admit it or not! It often takes me a while to admit it...From how many pieces does one become an "unofficial collector"?
