"Anything" is a slippery word! To me, "anything" means a price tag of $200.00 or more. I think you probably slipped under the wire, but this year is only 26 days old. There's still plenty of time to really break that promise! 😉

My beautiful old 1966-ish Hasselblad Sonnar 150/4 has a split in the inner focusing helicoid portion of the focusing mount, and I suspect it will cost much more than the lens is worth to have it repaired. I can still use it, but it's definitely a "last legs" situation. So I purchased a much much newer CF Sonnar 180mm f/4 from a vendor in Japan today as replacement. I expect it was cheaper than the proposed repair...

Over the last 2 weeks. Leica M11P, Summilux 28, 75 Summicron APO, 50MM Voigtlander Lanthar APO, M3 MacBook Pro 128Gb/4TB, Nikon Z6II/105 S Macro, Sony RX 100VII... and the usual support items.
Rebooting my interest in photography after closing my studio in 2012. Sold everything and put photography behind me (after 30 years).

That 180 was my favourite all time lens when I was shooting on a Blad.

Even though I already have the 25/2 Distagon, I just bought a super nice CZ 25/2.8 Distagon FZ.2 lens. Why? The ƒ/2 version is a little heavy and clumsy-handling for me and the ƒ2.8 version is smaller, lighter and focuses much closer. The ƒ/2.8 is also noted to have softer edges that, for me, is a positive feature. I don't really care much about the edges and corners in my photos and the size and close focus are important to me.

Good to hear. The 150 has been a lovely lens, from what I've seen the 180 is even better. I'm looking forward to it. 😀

What will you use this type of lens for? I'm just curious. Very cool, but I haven't used any teles on medium format ever.

Yes. I had both back in my film day. The 150 was a seriously nice lens. The 180 was even better. Although, how do you define better when both are close to perfection? I guess it comes down to personal preference. Anyhow, that 180 will likely be with you for the remainder of your shooting days. Many hopefully!!!

Dear Board,
I ventured over to the dark side in search of a digital all-in-one camera.
I bought an Olympus Stylus 1 from Goodwill that came with a couple of other cameras, a Pentax PZ-70 and a Fujifilm Discovery 1000 as a package deal.
The Pentax and the Fujifilm work as advertised, though they are far from handsome. Fresh batteries FTW!
The Olympus seemed bricked, but a battery recharge brought it to life. It's still kind of bricked because the rear screen is hopelessly damaged. Menu selections are virtually non-existent on this camera. It does however, power on and take perfectly usable pictures at whatever settings it is stuck with using so it's kind of sort of, all good.
Not to be deterred, I checked eBay and finding nothing worth buying, I immediately bought an EX+ Olympus Stylus 1s from KEH that arrived today. To me, it is perfect, and I look forward to having a one camera fits all solution with a little bit larger sensor than most digital P&S's.
On the plus side, KEH seems to be including a branded neoprene case with everything I've bought. I've bought 2 lenses and this camera, and all came with a neoprene cover of some sort. They aren't gorgeous, but they are definitely a nice touch and another reason why I will always shop there first.

150mm on 6x6 has been wonderful for portraits and some of the landscape/still life work I enjoy. On the CFVII 50c, it nets a bit more compression when cropping to 33x33. I expect the 180 will do similarly albeit a bit tighter in FoV. I also like these longer focal lengths when shooting cars and motorcycles.
