A short Post-Christmas giveaway thread

KoNickon, I did understand it was only in jest, and my "I'm not sure I am" was also in jest, although with the merest hint of the slightest possibility that there could be a microscopic chance that in theory maybe I am, considering most cameras on here seem to cost thousands with most owners having hundreds of them and hundreds of lenses and more photo talent than you could shake a stick at, and have the ability to make their own tools to work on cameras. On the other hand this place is more suitable for me than the USSRphotoforums of which I am a member, as I only have a Fed 3a(5) with an Industar 26m, most people there have hundreds of cameras and lenses and some could tell you what factory the official replacement screw for the bottom plate of the camera you're looking at came from, why it was needed and what the person who fitted it had for breakfast that day.
I identify you as the ghost of Douglas Adams and I claim my prize!

I was once in the unlucky situation of owning 13 Barnacks; obviously I had to do something to address the problem. Now I’m just unsure how many I have and even more unsure of how many work.

Thanks for the compliment, WoodallP, but I'm not to sure why I'd deserve it.
It’s just that your « ….although with the merest hint of the slightest possibility that there could be a microscopic chance that in theory maybe I am…. » reminded me of Mr Prosser the council worker in HHGG when « promising » to Ford Prefect that he wouldn’t knock Arthur Dent’s house down.

Tenuous I know 😊

Ah, I see. I didn't remember that bit. Mostly just Sandra Dickinson in that tight red outfit...

If I ever meet peter Davison, I'm going to hold my second finger's finger nail against the thumbprint part of my thumb and quickly release the finger and hit him in the arm with it as punishment for never having gone back in time and persuading her to keep her legs uncovered while she was wearing it.

OK, completely off topic but bits of A Very Peculiar Paractice were filmed around me when I was a student. I crossed PD a couple of times, once in pyjamas, and Timothy West was wallowing in water by my halls.

OK, should get back to cameras I suppose! I did a curtain replacement this afternoon. Still off topic but cameras at least.

Hmmm, were You or PD in Pyjamas? Wallowing in water? Must've been a very big puddle. Wasn't Barbara Flynn in that, and was looking for any excuse to get PD sacked? Or was that someone else?

Anyway, it was all filmed on cameras so still sort of "on topic" for the forum, lol.

PS. I forgot to add that I don't mind anyone else using this thread to give stuff away, though I'll prolly get a bit jealous when anyone else can get rid of their stuff in the same week, let alone the same ruddy day as happened with cary's Nikkormat EL and 43-86mm lens, lol.

Alas, it is the end of the listing for my Ricoh 500GX with either a meter that needs attention or sticky meter needle even though everything else works. I don't now whether to take it to a charity shop and hope they understand my explanation of the problem and notify potential buyers, or just chuck it in the bin.
