With such a low serial number, it is most likely a camouflaged Contex model, manufactured by German technicians from original parts, or those created using machinery and other equipment transferred from Germany to the Soviet Union after the war.

A gloriously sunny yet chilly morning here in eastern Ontario. And an exciting day too — we’re getting a new coffee maker today, so this is hopefully the last day of making do with our current coffee preparation method.

In the vintage Denby mug is a mix of caf and decaf. The camera is my Anscomark M with its 50/2.8 Xytar lens and loaded with Kentmere 100.

I’ll let you know how the new coffee maker is — I have high hopes!
