Yesterday the PM and his followers organised some meetings. And he talked to the people. He said as a summary:

"These are just bunch of drunk marauders!"
"They got into a mosque and drank all night!" (people took a mosque as shelter a few days ago while they were running from the police and converted the mosque into a infirmary)
"They attacked my scarfed sisters!" (That's another lie. Many scarfed women also resist)
"These demonstrations are lead by foreign powers!" (Yeah yeah.. Because we are all stupids...)
"We will respond them with the language they understand" (That would be nice. Because the language we understand is love and peace. Come join us PM)
"In my time (10 years) we planted 2.8 billion (yes billion) trees" (Just do the math 🙂 )
"These are enemy of the public!" (Pardon? Who?)
"They killed a cop!" (One cop died because he fell down to a hole which was kept open by local municipal while he was chasing the protestors. Nobody killed him)


Unbeliavable...
He deliberately provokes the people against each other. His followers' slogan is "Allow us, we will crush Taksim!"

They also started to attack the protestors in small towns and neighborhoods with knives and iron sticks.

Well, we have Turkey playing a major role with several countries in the attempt to remove power from the Assad regime in Syria. It is "common interests" that trump "ethics". This has always been the case in international politics. It is a swap of goodies; you give me something that I want and then I let you do something that usually I would not allow you to do ..... something like that.

Hmm, there was a pretty large solidarity march here in Berlin-Kreuzberg yesterday. I went out and took a few snaps.

Thousands of police has just entered Taksim Square again...

Watching live report from Taksim on Dutch TV now: police have cleared the square completely. Not a protester in sight, apart from some brave souls at the edges. They still are getting teargas and the water cannon treatment.


I hope you guys are all okay!?!?

08:29 GMT+1: more protesters arrive. Some rush in and try to circle a water cannon but police joins the cannon and they disperse, to wait. One the cannon tries to move in, they block it again. Lots of teargas grenades come in.

08:36 GMT+1: three water cannons in the square now but they are like headless chickens, not very effective like this it seems. New element: saw some molotov cocktails being thrown. Not effective either but it was a novelty in this battle.

08:57 GMT+1: the square largely has been cleared. Some daredevils are engaging the water cannons or the police. Barricades on the square entrance are now used from the other side to take cover from the cannons and teargas.
