hello,

i have been using my rd1s a lot these few days and was wondering if the following questions i have are normal and harmless

- in infinity focus position on the lens, the 2 images in the viewfinder do not line up on a distant target. often taking a picture will shake things up and they will align more or less. its never perfect but the pictures are fine.

- the ccd gets a bit dirty. i notices repetitive smudge marks on several of my pics, mainly those taken with a very high aperture number. is it safe to just put the camera on bulb and clean the ccd with a standard lens tissue?

1. Take some pics at about 1 meter and 10 meters at full aperture with 2 or 3 different lenses, preferably 50mm, 40mm or 35mm. If the 2 images line up and your pics are fine, forget it. Otherwise please elaborate on the extent of the misalignment and if it is an horizontal or vertical one.
2. No standard lens tissue, the result will be worst. Search "sensor swab" on this forum.
