21-50-90 That's my kit

I've got so many cameras and lenses that I can't select a combination, or kit, of focal lengths - however, if I had to abandon all other focal lengths, the one that I'd retain would be a 40mm (or equivalent). There is just something about that FL that really works (for me). 35 is a little too wide; 50 is a little too narrow.🙂

Shooting exclusively with Fuji APS-c cameras, my kit is ....

23mm (X100) = 70%

That's what happened to me when I bought the X100, 70% shots with that and 20% with pentax APS 70mm the rest with other pentax lenses. So I sold the pentax kit and bought an XPro now it's pretty evenly spread

X100
Xpro 35/60/27 the 18 less than the others

The 27 is the star though so usable.

21/50/90 is what I'm using as a travel kit right now. 21 lives on my X-E1 via an adapter, the 50 lives on whatever LTM rangefinder I've got with me, and the 90 is in reserve. I move things around as necessary.

A couple 35s/a bunch of 50s/135 available as needed. Kind of smitten with the 28 on my XA4 lately, which may eventually provoke another LTM acquisition.

I'm now mostly 35/50, with 28 for indoors or when I need a wider lens. I don't get on well with lenses wider than 28. Very occasionally I'll use a 90, but for travel that focal length stays home. I've found that 35 and 50 cover about 90% of the photos I like to take.

For travel, I usually take an RF with 35 and 50, and a 28 equivalent lens on an m4/3 body (14/2.5). With adapter, that gives me 70 and 100 equivalent focal lengths if I ever need them, without taking extra lenses.

I've got the first 3 in my bag. Just need to pick up a 75! Though, I'd probably go 25/50/75 in that case.

if you need a 75mm lens to play around with, let me know and I'll lend you my CV 75mm 2.5 but I would also look into a 90 instead of a 75 as the 75mm feels too close to a 50.

very nice indeed.

Daily kit, Leica M either film or digital, 21 Super Angulon, 35 pre-asph Summilux, 75 Summilux, 135 2.8 Tele-Elmarit. I shoot personal work as well as for a group of weekly newspapers, so I do need the long lens and, of the four, it's the one I would not sell.

20-25-38-100

38?, What lens is a 38?

Well, half frame Pen F of course. So in full frame angle of view that would be, roughly, 28-35-55-135

Wow,

Been a while since I've posted anything.

Mine is 21-35-50, all color-skopar super compact kit, with a R4A camera. Time to time, I think about exchanging the 35 for a 28.

Most of the time I use 35, for flexibility, although the 50 renders more beautiful, insightful images. The 21 is more special purpose, or, sometime, artistic lens, generating different perspectives.

The rendering qualities are consistent across my setup, something I like.

Nice. How is the 50 on the R4? Hard to focus?
