I have a 40mm Nokton and it seems to have alot of play between the lens and the mount. I am able to wiggle it quite a bit more than seems reasonable. Does anyone notice this problem? Any diagrams on taking this apart and tightening it up? Or is it off to the repair shop?

Thanks
Eric

what camera is it mounted on?

do you have another camera to try it out on?

i tried mine on the cl, the zi and the m3 and it's solid on each.

Actually the lens is rocking within itself. The mount to the camera is locked in, but the focussing within the barrel is rocking. If yours is solid, than I guess it is time to ship it off for tightening.

My Pancake II 35/2.5 came loose after a couple months of use - the mount part is firm to the body but there was play between the mounting part and the optic block. It was caused by a loose retaining ring.

Your 40/1.4 may have the same construction as Pancake II. Have a look at the retaining rings from the back of the lens. See if there are two rings - the outer one was the one securing the optic cell to the mount. The inside ring secure the rear optic element.
