I'm in need of rear lens for my 5cm f1.4 and my 3.5 cm f3.5....does anyone know where I can find something? Doesn't have to be official, just trying to protect them:)

Thanks!

As with anything Nikon Rf related - check with the "Head Bartender" a.k.a Stephen at Cameraquest.com.

Look for an ebay seller called Heavystar. He sells generic caps for Nikon rangefinder lenses very inexpensively. I just bought one a few weeks ago that is excellent and cost about $7.00 US plus shipping, and will probably buy another very soon.

Get the 35/3.5 rear caps on eBay and get either the Hamsa (I think that's the brand) or Zeiss s-mount rear cap for the 50mm lenses. The classic rear caps won't stay on the lens.

The only inexpensive source for rear caps for the 5cm & 50mm internal mount Nikkors that I have been able to find are from an eBay seller with the handle of nobbysparrow from Japan. His price is $10.00 per cap and a single flat rate of $3.00 for worldwide shipping. His caps are a pretty good approximation of the Zeiss Ikon #727 cap, but without the felt lining. Moreover, his caps do not mount to the bayonet lugs as does the vintage Nikon "S" cap. Instead, his caps are a friction fit with the back of the lens.

However, if you want a vintage Nikon "S" rear lens cap, they can be a bit pricey. Although they do occasionally appear on eBay.
