75/2.5 Colour Heliar impressions

I just got this back from the lab today and noticed it was a good example for this thread. I was not at the minimum focal distance, but was close. Can't remember the f-stop, but was fairly wide open.

Hi Steve,
the 2.5/ 75mm is a nice lens. Last summer I took it for a trip to Italy.
Here are some examples! I used Fujichrome 200. The scans were done with an Epson Perfection 1200 Photo.
Greetings
Michael

I love this lens. I use it on my M7, M2 and IIIc, as here.

This is a great lens if you want a short telephoto. Very sharp, good colour rendition, pleasing bokeh. I am selling mine as sadly I'm more of a wide angle guy but I was very happy with the results.

On eBay below

So why didn't you offer it here first? And you also use this forum to promote it on Ebay? Plus you don't ship outside of UK? Hmmm. Why do you feel comfortable to put a link to you ebay auction here than?
Thanks for nothing. :(

Err, given that I expressed an opinion that was relevant to the original forum posting I thought that tacking the link on was not a major problem (if this is a problem then I'm happy for it to be deleted). I've seen others do this so didn't think it was a problem.

Point otherwise taken. As a special concession to RFF members - regardless of what it says on the eBay advert I will sell it to overseas RFF members, and if you win it then I'll take off 10% of the winning bid amount as an RFF discount! Is that any better?

Sounds much better this way. At least to me. Thank you for looking into this.
FYI, usually when people refer to ebay ads here - those ads do not belong to the poster, but rather a find of independent ebay post. It's just the etiquette here. But I think your correction/addition makes things good now.

I like the lens too, light and neat, but don't often use a lens this long on an RF. My records show use only on my M2, only with B&W, only two rolls. Here's one with Pan-F on a stroll along an abandoned/former route of a main US highway through a river canyon.

(Now that I finally have a camera body with 75mm framelines - Hexar RF - I may use it more!)

Doug

I like this one a lot. It's also showing me how I could use this lens in ways I hadn't considered.

Best wishes

Steved

I like your offer so I put in a bid.

75-85-90 are nice lengths for picking out the isolated images you are seeing in a larger context. If I wasn't happy with the M-Rokkor 90/4, I'd sure look at the CV.
What is the closest focus of the CV 75?

Pics as promised

Pics as promised

First ones from my new CV 75/2.5 - looks promising.

The clarity of CV's 'slow' lenses really impresses me. I have frames on Delta 400 that compare well to 6x6 frames of 30 years ago.

No magic lenses here. Magic users maybe.

Y'all are convincing me to keep my 75/2.5 just when I was about to weaken and sell it. And now I only have one LTM body. The 35mm UC-Hexanon & C/V 75mm would make an awesome pair on a couple LTM bodies. I had that pair. Sold one of the bodies. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

"No magic lenses here. Magic users maybe."

Amen to that. For the coming year I'm ignoring any thread with "vs." in the header, and spending the time on the galleries instead.
