A few with my new 75 Lux from the Berlin Marathon 2011 ;-)
Right after seeing family and friends again, one thing, I was looking forward happily to was the pickup of a lens, I was looking for for a long time.
The first day, I arrived in Germany, I picked it up and went to Berlin, to take away some impressions from the 2011 Marathon with the 75 Summilux-M.
It is indeed a wonderful lens for portrait, but quite demanding for action. I like, how well it pairs with a Noctilux, when shot wide open. The look of both lenses have quite some similarities.

I have always enjoyed looking at your pictures from China. These two shots are fantastic though. Wish i could afford such a lens

Does any one know why Leica quit making it?
Jim, it had the same glass used in the Noctilux, and when they stopped making the glass.....

Thanks for the nice compliment ;-)
Just Yesterday, I was shocked by seeing the going prices in Shanghai camera shops!
Everybody wanting to buy a nice trip to China?
Easy: buy any 75 Summilux at "normal" going price in your home country, fly to China, sell the lens to a shop, enjoy your free holiday ;-)
Prices here for these lenses are outrageous!

Swedish summer sun. In June it is strong - and this is quite late in the day. Sometimes I miss these looong summer evenings! 1992, Simrishamn, Sweden.

Haha Jim, thanks ;-)
Here is a few shots from the 75 Summilux on it's first outing in the nights of Shanghai:

The 75 Lux really is a Diva of a lens though, I'll keep her strapped on one of the two cameras with me and learn a bit about her every day now!

Nice shots of your boy! Focussing isn't easy with this lens.
Here is one from later yesterday, testing for using the 75 Lux for low light:

Thank you, yours is excellent! It is hard to focus when a 2 year won't stand still. Fun lens, I'm glad I bought it.
