75mm f/1.4 Summilux Photos

Yes, I was in slight doubts about mine in the beginning, but just didn't use it enough. It will stay in my back now more and hopefully grow on me.
 
I got my 75mm Lux a year ago. It is a keeper. Any lack of sharpness is due to my focusing and eyesight.

Raid....agreed. The 75 Lux was one of my more recent purchases, mostly because of the lack of funds. However...the 75 Lux is truly a gem, and I will never sell it. My copy is absolutely flawless, and although that shouldn't matter, it only compliments its optical perfection. With that said, I don't always shoot at 75mm, but the 75mm has a character all it's own and never fails to impress. Great shots from all posting here. I think the lens offers a unique perspective, compared to a 90 or 50, and from what I've seen, can even improve one's eye for tight cropped photos.
 
Raid, that second portrait with THE LOOK, the wild hair and those eyes is truly beautiful!

Jordan, I absolutely agree on the "specialness" of the 75 Lux with it's unique combination of 75mm frame, close focus ability and fast aperture (not to speak of the magic going on @ f1.4 and the pretty different magic going on from f2 on - meaning mercilessly sharp, fine detail).

You should try, to get your friend, lending it longer to you - you seem to bond well with the 75 Lux! Love that shot!

JSU - I use an M9 and process all images thru LR4. For B/W I always use NIK Silver Efex. I would say that over 90% of my images that go thru Silver Efex I first select a film filter that I like and adjust from there. For instance, on the last one of the girl I used Ilford Delta and then cranked up the contrast and reduced the grain. On the swing I used TMAX 400 and brought out the shadows....kept the grain, thought it was appropriate. 99% of my color goes thru LR4 ONLY. Speaking of, LR4 I have found to be a HUGE improvement (especially in shadow detail) over LR3 when working with Leica DNG files. Worth the upgrade.
