I like that shot from Old Town (at least it looks like Old Town). This is really a versatile camera.
Okay, maybe not a 'poor man's Leica' -- maybe a poor man's M9? Or maybe it's just in a category all its own....that's probably more like it. Forgive my mischaracterization!
Thanks, yes it was Old Town. Both were taken there.
I like your calling it a poor man's M9! Or M8, eh? Never thought I'd like digital cameras, but this none has me eating words.

Just heard back from the editor at the magazine for whom I did the photos -- she really liked them, and they'll be running in the July/August issue. So the E-P2 does have commercial viability!

Congratulations! That is awesome!
(by the way, pretty great that we are all from the dc / md / va area haha)

Yeah that is weird -- we should get some kind of DC/MD/VA RFF meetup going.
The shots will be running in the July/August of Maryland Life Magazine -- hope they choose the good ones!

Shot this one yesterday morning while at Lowe's Home Improvement in their garden center.

Nice bee shot! I would have never guessed Lowe's as a location. It looks like a meadow in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks guys - muchly appreciated.
Dean, what I did was to contact a few of my clients and asked them what the largest file size they really needed -- I've been accustomed to providing them these monster files. The ones that I've spoken with basically said the same thing -- 35mb is plenty. So, away we go!

Shot this for a builder client on Tuesday morning (did the 'main' shot with my D700, but then did this one just as a comparison).

Another shot with the Summicron, taken at dinnertime in my kitchen yesterday. ISO 400, f/2.8.

I like that last shot quite a bit.
Here's a bee shot from me, but from my garden, not Lowes. I should start taking the camera with me on errands.

@ Vince
That bee shot is outstanding - clarity, color, tones - How did you manage focusing? Hyper? f/16?

Nope, just followed it and focused -- at f/4.

Just shot this today for a client. I'm trying to utilize this camera in as many commercial situations as possible!

The world of macro and extension tubes.
The first is with a 55/2.8 Micro Nikkor hand held. The second and third are the C/V 58/1.4 Nokton with an 11mm Nikon extension tube. Check out the depth of focus on the page with text. Take that, Noctilux!

I actually put those up on flickr using an uncalibrated monitor. I'd appreciate anyone letting me know if the last image, of the flower, looks washed out or if the contrast seems low on those pix.
[Edit: deleted the last until I can get a well-balance file posted. Thanks for the feedback.]
Edit#2: new flower]

The first two are fine, but I do find the flowers washed out when viewed on my calibrated monitor. Extension tubes are fun, no!

Same here. Looks a bit like a swirly scoop of icecream at first glance. I cannot discern that it is a flower. However, I do like the way it looks now.

Another DC shot:
EP2 with Lumix 20/1.7 wide open. Lightroom 3 rendering, noise reduction and sharpening finally make u4/3 viable for nightime shooting.
Cheers,
Kirk
