A very interesting debate. I must be right up front and say that I consider myself to be a Christian and so with that statement in mind here goes.
Nudity in and of itself is beautiful. The body when represented well, and that to me would be with shades and shadows etc, is stunning. I have no problem with nudity in art per se.
Let us say there is an art gallery for artists. It would be in my opinion a retrograde step to then have an annexe for nudity within that gallery. Art is art - fought for tooth and nail over the centuries.
But this is an open, tolerant forum and so mechanisms are already in place for the consideration of peoples feelings (don't miss that point).
Last but not least I consider it a privilege to consider the feelings of others in all things. Paul has expressed, with both dignity and courage, what his heart feels. We should applaud his honesty. Note well, he did not pass judgement on anyone.
