I was wondering if anyone had adapted their Tricor lens to micro 4/3. From what I can tell the diameter of the mount is less than 1 inch because the lens is (just slightly) too small to fit the C-mount adapter I have. What I was planning on doing was attaching the lens to an m42 focusing helicoid in a short m42 adapter, so all I really need is the right-sized adapter to screw into the m42 helicoid. I suppose if I were really desperate to get it to work I'd use some Teflon tape around the lens mount a few times and screw it into a C-mount to m42 adapter.

Anyone have a better way to make this work?

I was able to bodge the lens into place inside the C-mount to m42 adapter as described. Unfortunately the combination is a bit far from the sensor, so the lens doesn't reach infinity. The lens is quite a bit sharper than I expected.

Problem with putting it into an M42 adapter is the registration distance is going to be quite a bit off (long) that you'll probably only be able to shoot super macros if anything at all.

What I'm using is not strictly an m42 adapter, but one made especially to mount m42 helicals, a short adapter. But still, it's a little long. Distant focus is about 10 feet or so. I need to find a millimeter here or there to make it work. What would be ideal is a c-mount helical for micro 4/3, but I haven't found one. That would also be quite nice for those c-mount lenses which don't have built-in focusing, like the 1 inch Wollensak I have.
