Alternatives to turrent finder??

Any tips or suggestions on this, maybe you have a technique that works
I`m using only 50mm at the moment on all my 4`s [fed,zorki,keiv]
other lens are sure to follow, and i see that veiwfinders would have been a better investment than enron stock or money in an Icelandic bank.

There are varifocal finders that are like a zoom lens. I have one made by Nikon.

Turret, varifocal and variable area (like the Leitz VIOOH) finders, all are good because they offer parallax compensation -- unlike many fixed focal length finders. One finder can also serve several cameras and several lenses. Possibly you know that the USSR turret finder made for the Kiev cannot conveniently be used on the Fed/Zorki.

yes, i was aware that they would not work easily on all, how about Helios?

I use the KMZ turret finder on my Bessa-T and it is adequate. I only have to fiddle with the parallax compensation if the subject is <2 mtrs, but mostly that goes fine.
The only thing is that I find it not all that bright and clear as the dedicated VF's.

adequate is just right for me! however the kmz comes in left and right, and may not suit all 3 types of camera, found a few older threads with good info, so unless anyone has new info to add I can self research this one, thanks for your input all
