I was wondering how to order the Amadeo adapter. I have a full set of lenses in contax RF mount I would like to utilize on my Fed 2 and Canon 7 rangefinders. (jupiter 12, helios 103 and jupiter 9 all in great condition)

I've sent a message to Amadeo via PM on RF forum and an email but I am getting no reply (it could be that because it was the weekend).

It would be great if someone can point me into the right direction. Also, feel free to post about your experience with the adapter.

Thank you in advance!

i was one of lucky guy who got the adapter, for ltm mount. I have small collection of sonnar (2 50mm f2, 1 50mm f1.5, 85mm and 135mm) which all of them from carl zeiss jena, prewar era, as well as black painted contax IIa.
I choose ltm mount to make it easier match the framelines on my M body, as easy as swapping adapter (the M mount is only made for 50mm, cmiiw), as well as to be able to use it for my IIIc.
But somehow, the contax adapter that i got is not focus properly with all my sonnar collection. I have tried cheap to expensive ltm adapter, tested with RD1 & my M2/hexar rf. At this point people can blame the ltm adapter, but i don't think the same. I have prove from reading some post in the past that some people have the same issue. But i have no time to mess return it back to the seller, so i have to live with it. At the end, all my lenses were shimmed to match the adapter, no issue except with 135mm f4 which very hard to be shimmed/calibrated. I sell the black IIa, so i have no regret doing this. The sonnar rocks in my M body, i like the result and no regret spending money on the adapter, i just wish that it works out of the box, not for me, but for you.

i have the contax -> M adapter. very well made.
This allows me to use lenses that do not have
the equivalent in 50mm LTM/M:
- Helios-103 (super sharp)
- Jupiter-8M (click-stop version)
- Sonnar 50 f1.5 (rare to find in LTM).

Since the first post I got a reply from Amadeo and just ordered the adapter!

I also acquired W-nikkor 3.5cm so I am looking forward to how all the contax lenses will perform on ltm mount rangefinders.

I have looked at reviews of the adapter and looks like the focus problems occured for the earlier adapters by amadeo. I have great hopes that the new CNC machined adapter will focus well on ltm bodies.

Please keep your reviews on the adapter coming! I would love to hear your experiences with the adapter.

I had luck getting him via ebay. Simple asked when he was going to do another auction for a Contax/Nikon to M. He set up an auction within an hour and it was a done deal.

That would have been a good idea to get the ebay bucks haha. Aw well. I emailed him directly and paid through paypal. I am excited for the adapter!

I received one Nikon S-mount to LTM adapter one or two weeks ago and Amedeo forgot to remove his private LTM-M mount adapter from the Nikon to LTM adapter ... I emailed him about this and he asked me to send his LTM-M adapter back to him (at his cost). Since I am stuck at work I haven`t managed to do so yet but hopefully in the next couple of days. I really hope that this doesn`t cause any delay ...

Otherwise, the Nikon LTM adapter is spot-on!

I received my Nikon S to LTM adapter this morning and I am asking for a refund. The focus ring on the adapter is so tight that I have to use two hands, one to hold the base of the lens to keep it from unscrewing from , the other to turn the focus ring on the 85mm, 105, 135, that is if you can get the lenses to lock with the adapter ring. Had to use needle nose pliers to hold the adapter in place while I tried to get the base of the lens to lock with the adapter. If I forced enough, the lens would lock. Once I thought it was locked and the lens fell out but I caught it in time. The only lens that lock easily is th e50/1.4 and even that, I have to force the lens focus ring when it is between 4-8 meters. This is not the way to use a Leica on the streel, pliers and two hands for focus. I am very disappointed and will be asking for a refund. Hope you hasve better luck with your adapter. His suggestion was to use sewing machine oil. It doesn't help.. What a disappointment.
