Are you referring to the vintage W-Nikkor 3.5cm f2.5?
The rear element on this lens doesn't protrude very much so will fit on an Amedeo adapter without any problems.

I concur with jonmanjiro that the nikkor 35/2.5 works well with the adapter, as do the zeiss 35/4.5 orthometar and 35/2.8 biometar lenses for the contax RF. It is a pity that lenses with larger rear elements such as the 35/1.8 nikkor, 35/3.5 planar or 35/32.8 pre + post-war biogons do not work.

Yeah, I think that's the one I mean, thanks guys! I don't know much about Nikon lenses, thus the nomenclature confusion.
This is correct, I have used Contax and Nikon lenses interchangeably on micro 4/3. Since focus is done at the sensor this eliminates the focusing helical differences between the two mounts.
Amedeo also has a dedicated Contax/Nikon adapter straight to micro 4/3.

I understand Nikon and Contax RF are not
compatible as far as I have read in Cameraquest. But that shouldn't matter as far as the adapter is concerned when used on a G1 or E-P1 since you are focusing TTL? I assume the adapter can focus to infinity whether a Nikonr or Contax lens is mounted?

You can use a Contax lens on a Nikon adapter but if you use a Nikon lens on a Contax adapter you will not be abble to the infinite. The Nikon S have a distance to the focal plane shorter than Contax, is 0.12mm, enough for to have problems with apertures of 1:2.4 or less.
Amedeo.

For fun, I thought about getting a rangefinder arm and modifying it so that a 35mm f1.8 would fit. If the cam that makes contact with the lens was a millimeter or so thinner, it would fit when using one of Amedeo's adapters.
You mean like this?

Sweet Jon!
The arm on the Ikon has better clearance? Any modification needed?

I believe it's less of a problem with the 2.5, no ?

Ah, f2.5 in the f1.8 mount. Good eye Roland.
It's also less of a problem for those lucky folks, ahem, who have a f1.8 in LTM.
P.S. Now that you are just using one 35mm, you may want to offload some of the others, hint hint?

Nope. That one just came back from the SPA ...
Ah, f2.5 in the f1.8 mount.
Yep, this is one of the final batch of 1,200 - 1,300 3.5cm/f2.5s that got a barrel and aperture ring like the 3.5cm/f1.8. At a glance this version of the f2.5 and the f1.8 look identical. Was just checking to see if you were paying attention

Guys, I'm thinking about getting an M6 classic body to be paired with sonnar lens. So I definitely considering this adapter. My question is will the metering on the M6 work with this combination?

This would be very nice to use the Millennium Nikkor on, but not being able to use the 35/1.8 would be a deal breaker.
You and me both, Jon.
I got one a couple of days ago and it fits perfectly.
Ah ha! So it was you who grabbed that one (the one listed in the RFF classifieds just recently). Congrats, you were quicker off the mark than I was :bang:
