And finally a "Proper member" of RFF :)
Its a Super Ikonta 531/16 in great condition. Only thing is the RF being slightly out of vertical alignment. Its only the 75mm f/3,5 Novar lens version but what the heck I can't wait to get my first 2 rolls developed.
What really strikes me is how easy it is to use even in low light. This might be my detour into RF's :) I'm hooked.

Yeah it took some time and regarding my Leica/Voigtländer/Mamiya7II thoughs deciding will take even more yet :D

unlikely you will find ND filters though, custom cut ND glass or use a bigger size (modern) and some blue tack to temporary hold it in place

Thing is there are no threads on the lenses on these guys :) I guess if filters exist(ed) they were push ons but I don't know cause I havn't seen any. I'm looking for yellow, orange and red preferable around 715nm cut off :D

What I find a bit puzling that the filters seemingly are supposed to sit in a groove on the front of the lens and that groove looks a bit narrow, not much room for solid German steel :( But then again I havn't measured it so I might be in for a pleasant surprise. Hmmm Looks less than 1mm :(

Hmm With a simple Linex I get something like 32mm D. I'll do a proper measure with my caliber when I get home tonight
Could it be possible to get an adapter for say 36mm threaded filters?
And a hood? And a built in meter .......... oh wait never mind the last one :D

Hello Soeren, modern threaded filters have a E39, E40.5 and so forth in the old German catalogs. Old folders on the other hand mostly used push on, a.k.a. slip-on filters, that have an A in front of the number, such as A32 and A37. Your Ikonta takes an A37 hood and filter.

Yes, the metal ring is quite thin. Do note that here are A37 filters and hoods with relatively thick rings, which will not work. Voigtlander is brand that will not work.

Either a Zeiss Ikon or Agfa A37 filter should fit. There currently are a couple of A37 filters up for grabs on eBay from a reputable Dutch seller. His ID is mvloon.

Correction to the above post - you have the late version of the Super Ikonta III - not the older Brunhilda with the 80mm/f2.8 lens. So, you may need an A32 filter size.

One thing about the late SI III/IV - Zeiss-Ikon made some screw-on E35.5 that were specifically made to fit these cameras. These are a PIA to obtain. So, first try an A32 filter.
 
B+W still makes the 35.5mm screw-on filters.

I've bought UV and yellow filters on eBay for about USD12 each. I recently bought a very deep red for use with Rollei infrared film. This was a new filter, which I purchased as a special order through B&H Photo, and it took roughly six weeks for delivery. I would guess that B+W makes these in periodic batches.

These filters also fit several other Zeiss Ikon cameras, including the Tenax II, Ikoflex and some Tessar-equipped 6x6 and 6x4.5 folders, as well as your Super Ikonta III with a Novar.

As you've found out, they mount upside down and screw on to the outside of the lens.
