And, the Yashica GX, CC, and CCN are quite small, rangefinder cameras, with excellent lenses.

decisevely smaller than earlier Lynx or GSN, but it's all relative..

quite a bit smaller again the also excellent Konica C35 and about same size the Konica Auto S3 that has a bigger, faster and great f1.8/38mm lens ( the Auto S3 is called C35FD in Japan )

I love small cameras, need mine to be small and light.
My NEX5n "powerhouse" is very small, wished so much that Sony had made a similar small camera with a "35mm" sensor. ( have been hoping and waiting for that, only when I accepted that there is no such camera to be expected any time soon I finally succumbed and got a Sony A7 too - for I wanted a digital cam with the correct size of media for my many old SLR lenses made for 35mm film. However still I am using my NEX5n and Ricoh GXR M more often, main factor being their smaller size, also tilting EVF )
"Pen-F" lenses make a great fit for the NEX!

Revived thread!
Small is nice....but not too small. My favorites;
Full frame 35mm, Olympus 35RC
Half frame 35mm, Olympus Pen VF (original, all manual control) or occasionally the Pen D
I have a Minox IIIs and various Minolta 16 cameras and will fixate on them for 2 or 3 months at odd times but like the small 35's for everyday use.
Do you still use your Minolta 16's and Minoxes? You might drop into Submini-L.groups.io for other submini fans.

This camera Really surprised me! Beautiful images and a nice chunky feel. The Cornu Ontobloc made in German occupied France. /

I sold off many of my small cameras about a year or two ago....
several Oly XAs XA-2, etc,
Minolta AF-C (cute little thing)
several small Olympus variants (e.g., RC)
and others. But I kept the following. I just can't bear to part with them:
Petri Color-35 (a "forever friend")
and Rollei 35
I do like small cameras, but they can in fact be too small at times. I find it hard to use my Olympus OM series bodies, and the Leica CL is just a bit too small for me as well. Even so, I've kept those ones as well.

My Rollei 35S and Minox 35GT-E are always ready to hand and make fantastic photos. My Minox IIIS, B, C, and EC are also always ready and make fantastic photos.
By the standards of these cameras, a Leica M is big and heavy.

I have several small cameras: XA2, Voigtlander Vito C, Minox ML, Rollei 35, Zeiss Tenax I, Oly Pen D3, and Agfa Paramat (last two are half-frames, and the Tenax shoots a 24x24 frame). The Rollei is the most capable of them, but I find myself grabbing the Minox more often than any of the others. It's so light and so easy, and produces consistently good photos. Unfortunately, it has proven less than fully reliable.

I've tried numerous fixed lens pocket 35mm cameras over the years.
Alas the most durable are too heavy to live comfortably in a chest pocket.
That leaves only mostly plastic models, which are often less reliable.
Working examples I still own are Minox 35ML, Olympus XA2, XA3, Stylus (mju1), Ricoh FF-1, Sears mini 35 (aka Ricoh FF-1s).

On a more serious note, I've also found a small camera that's a keeper, a very pretty Kodak Duo Six-20 with Art-Deco design and the Kodak Anastigmat 3.5/75mm lens. It takes 4.5x6 images on 620 film and I plan to shoot Fomapan 100 with it and develop in Caffenol.
EDIT:
Johan, Just curious about the results you got with your Kodak Duo Six-20. I have the same camera and I think it is really cool (and historically, it is the same camera Amelia Earhart took with her on her fateful attempt to fly around the world). But I have been plagued with tiny pinholes in the bellows and light leaks from the red gels on the back door. With B&W film there are occasional flares from the bellows pinholes, and with color film (which the camera was never designed to use) I get red flares from the back gels used for reading frame numbers.
Best,
-Tim

For smaller 35mm cameras I have the Contax iia, a Retina IIIc, and a Konica Big Mini HG (P&S). I like the first two best, but the Konica is a handy camera to bring on a quick trip.

These small fixed lens small cameras are great with flash. My Olympus 35RC is synched to 1/500 as many others; indoors, auto flash f-stop and any shutter speed you want. Outdoors they are much more versatile than focal plane shutters for fill flash; so take one to the beach in your towel bag. Besides most have as nice lenses as any other camera.
