Neat thing about reversing the rear elements: the center of the image stays about the same focal length, and the curvature of field goes crazy. I bought a Sonnar like that, but figured out the problem and corrected it. I worked on a Type I Rigid Summicron that when received: had Three Elements in backwards! But, it did give interesting results.

The only thing you forgot is the space towel - you could even wipe off the vaseline afterwards in case you want to recognize something in the picsI though the answer to everything was 42, and the fix for everything was duct tape?
