Olympus Mju-II (=Stylus Epic), just got it. It was a first for me in many ways.
First time I shot reala in 3 years; first time I ever developed my own film (tetenal)
I love it, lens is sharp, fast focussing, great colour and fully automatic. A joy to work with

What is the focal length of the viewfinder on the Vivitar 22mm? I use a Kodak KV250 with a 28mm lens and 35mm viewfinder.
Would that be a 28mm lens, and it uses 35mm film?
The Vivitar camera is 22mm lens, matching field of view viewfinder, and it uses 35mm film.

Konica Big Mini HG,
Picked up for 2 pounds with case in a junk shop. 35mm f3.5 lens. 1.5 stops exposure compensation and the flash can - mercifully - be turned off. Makes good exposures and f3.5 gives a fairly 3D impression when your subject is close. Seems to measure exposure well. Not sure what the ISO range is - set automatically and I usually just load it with ISO 400. Mostly, the lens has the good qualities of a prime, although the front element seems to serve a merely protective function, and can cause horrible ghosting at night. Quite flare resistant, though.
Haven't used it much since I really got the hang of my Rollei 35 (tessar), though.

Notice the edges really aren't sharp, though. Uses annoying batteries too - P&Ss have a habit of doing so.

Canon AF35ML aka "Super Sure Shot"
1981 vintage or so. I don't remember anymore where I picked it up, probably a garage sale, but I know I didn't pay much for it. I've owned it for at least 10 years.
Canon's second P&S 35mm camera from what I understand. 40mm f/1.9 lens. Not a whole lot of features: built-in pop-up flash, motorized film wind and rewind, and a multi-function switch for battery check, off/on, and self timer. Actually built out of metal. This thing weighs more than my Canon XS DSLR.
Takes decent pics. I've got a roll of Kodak 200 in it right now.
Best,
Michael

Michael,
This is one of my favorite point and shoot cameras. Great lens and super build. I've been working my way through my P&S cameras and can't wait for this one to come back to the top of the list so that I can shoot it again.

Sorry for the late reply. No, it has a 35mm viewfinder and 28 lens. I imagine they did that to save money in production. It is basically a re-usable disposable camera.

Lately Ive been shooting with this bad boy! Bought for $10 off ebay and it's perfect.
Olympus Stylus 35-70 zoom. I usually deactivate the flash but have used it a few times.
That looks like the same exact one I have and still use. After 12 years I fear it may be on its last legs. The latch for the battery door has broken off, so the battery compartment kind of flops open occasionally.
I did get a newer similar one on close out a year or so back. I'll start using it more when the Old Faithful takes a turn for the worse.

hello!
I absolutely love to use P&S cameras. I use a Lomo LC-A+ and a Lomography Fisheye2. I really like both of them.
All the best, Daniel

With the exception of some close ups.....
With the exception of some close ups.....
Here are some shots I did (about 2/3 of the total shots) untweaked or cropped from this last weekends camp out with my son's Boy Scout Troop.
GR-D I on snap-shot mode, IMHO the best P&S digital out there.

The Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim, an all-plastic camera including lens, is a true
point and shoot. The fstop is f11, shutter is 1/125sec and the only way to
change exposure is change ISO film. lol It has a 22mm lens which makes for
some fun photos:
I got two of these for 20 bucks off the bay and keep them loaded with Kodak
Gold 200 or Walgreens 400 film.

Canon Sure Shot and Nikon L35AF. Great to have if there's nothing else handy.

Bill,
Great photos with the Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim... I had been thinking about getting one of these and your pics are sure convincing. The widest P&S that I have now is the Nikon Lite Touch AF / AF600 (Europe). It has a 28mm f/3.5 and can be set to a 13 X 36mm panorama. Here a regular example from Thunderbird Mt here in Phoenix.

Wayne, excellent shot! About the VUWS, it'll flare like a big dog if given the chance, and there is some vignetting you have to contend with.

Does the Ricoh GRD count?
I shoot almost exclusively with the Ricoh GRD now. Friends who were skeptical about my purchase decision should be happy to see my works now
Jus a few of them, the rest can be found here http://www.flickr.com/photos/28144868@N05/

Shooter of Film...
Tonight I was given a Yashica T AF (Carl Zeiss Tessar 3.5/35 T*)
It looks like new (came with the case) and with a fresh set of batteries it works just fine...
I'm going to load a roll of B&W and try it out...I'm very interested in the Tessar lens and what it'll give me...
Does anyone have any experience with this camera ???
