After many years I will finally be around the Pacific Northwest in my old stomping grounds. Will be around Seattle more or less for a good while and though its been a few if anyone is around and would like to talk photo stuff sept-oct might be worth a hoot.

Hey that sounds good with me. Looks like I need to brush up on what is considered drunk driving these days hahaha....

Public transportation is pretty reliable. ;)

I'm up for Big Time too, I'm a craving some Hopgoblin right now.

Hawaii is in town on the 10th. Dawgs are at Nebraska on the 17th, that would be a better day.

We have to keep an eye out for that weird costume party this time of year...kinda weird, wouldn't want to have to pull out the "Preparation H" costume.

Cheers,
Gary

Hoping you are just joshing, and I certainly don't know what you think "Drunk Driving" used to be. These days, an alcohol blood content of .08 will change your life. Haven't been there, but I know a few people who won't have an Oregon or Washington drivers license for as much as 3 to 5 years. Diversion programs are being dropped, and taxicab companies are in the black big time. Many designated drivers are charging for the service.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I've had just as much fun not drinking since 1974, and remembering more of my life than before.

The number of deaths involving drinking and driving is rising, as are the fines, suspensions, and Manslaughter charges.

Pardon me if this is NOT what you were expecting or wanting to hear. I recently lost a good friend who died in front of her 5 year old son in a Suburban rollover. The seat belt kept her halfway in the SUV and she was dis-embowelled by a metal fence stake. She drank and drove.

Oh, yes, and she was on her cell phone to her husband when she drifted into the roadside gravel shoulder.

Lets go with the start of Grumpy hour, 2:00pm. I'll send notice to the private distribution of our meet.

See you there Saturday the 17th, 2pm.

As always the first round for early birds is on me.

Cheers,
Gary

Looks like I missed out. Bummer!
Hope you all had fun and enjoyed the beer :)

Gary,
Can you put me on your distribution list?
Thanks!

Jason

A get together to say goodbye

A get together to say goodbye

We had a nice little gathering this go around.

We again say goodbye to our old friend "Old Sol". See you next summer.

Also we gathered to say farewell to another one of our most beloved films.

Agree with almost all of this, but it's hard to believe that "The number of deaths involving drinking and driving is rising."

Total auto accident deaths peaked in about 1980 and have steadily declined almost every year since. This decline is occurring on a per-capita basis, a per-mile-traveled basis, and an absolute, number-of-deaths basis. So it's unlikely that the number of drunk-driving fatalities is increasing.

But yeah, driving drunk is likely to ruin your life, sooner or later.

For the sake of parity: I am similarly unsympathetic if you die in an accident as a result of talking on the cell phone while driving. In fact, that transgression enrages me even more, since the perps can't even argue that the activity impaired their ability to reason. They're just selfish fecal pellets who are a hazard to themselves and, unfortunately, to others.

Yea, With that we looked at workarounds with Neopan 400. Hydrogen peroxide looks promising for hypering to 1600, problem is having to shoot and develop within a couple of hours.

Methanol is much better but drying is an issue. A nice black stripe runs up the wall of my darkroom from not shielding the hair dryer properly.

Poof....
