I was wondering if anyone uses these &/or what people think of them... I'm still looking for something I won't ever want to take off my camera.

At the moment I'm using a Domke gripper (the wider one) & an Optech classic neoprene strap (that is being relegated to the fixed lens rf kit). I like the Domke, but I want to try something else & saw a few good comments about the UPstrap on pnet.

I just got two wrist straps from Gordy. One for my M6, the other for my F2AS. I have heard great things about the upstrap, but have not gone there, yet. I currently use thin nylon straps like the ones that come with CV Bessas. With the exception of an old Nikon one that decided to have the non-slip part melt all over a white shirt a year ago, have not needed anything more.

I made a leather strap many years ago for my SLRs which works very well, but is too big for my move to keep things small (RF). The UPStrap seems to be a good design that meetings that requirement. My only gripe is the price seems high to me. But then again, how much is the glass and body I am asking it to carry.

These straps have had very good reviews - i too favour the domke grippers but am tempted by these UPstraps.
Actually i was thinking about getting one. However the last time i purchased off a few small websites - i got hit for a load of credit card fraud (all refunded but it took a month or so of calls and checking) so i'm a little wary of ordering off the site despite it saying the online purchase area is "secure"

Not being in the US i may well call them up and do it over the phone.

I use Upstraps - I like how they stay on your shoulder - your shirt is more likely to get pulled off by the weight of the camera than the rubber pad sliding off. But when I carry the camera in the hand and wrap the strap around my wrist it's not so comfortable - the strap is a stiff nylon that can chafe the skin, while the rubber pad is very stiff (more so the SLR strap than the RF strap).

I prefer the Voigtlander cloth strap if I'm going to be walking around with the camera in hand and strap wrapped around my wrist.

And for heavy cameras hung from the neck, I prefer a neoprene strap.

I've purchased from them twice and had no problem with credit card fraud.

what nysyoon said is true, for carrying the camera with the strap wrapped around your hand its not so great, but if you sling it over your shoulder like I do 80% of the time then this is the best, peirod. It just wont slip off. I have 4.
