Got this on the 'bay, advertised as a 35mm - 50mm finder. Made in Japan stamped under the shoe.
Anyone know of this finder?
The bright lines don't seem very close to any of my other finders or native camera finders.
Are external finders mostly just "aim-ers" anyway?

I don't have this one but I have a cluster of similar ones with Yashica and other brand names. Most of them don't really have a 35mm line - they are closer to 40mm.

However one of the Yashica aux. finders (designed for Yashica Electro 35 GX) has ~32mm frameline, I used to use it very often.

I did a comparison on my Leica Standard with its peep sight and a SBOOI, which are pretty similar for what their 50mm frame lines include.
The Avigon's smaller frame is maybe 85mm by comparison, I don't have anything to compare its wide frame lines with.
So the the link referenced by John seems to make sense that it is a telephoto / wide-angle auxiliary finder, instead of a 50/35
I bought it to fit my "Zorki-standard" as an "aim-er" for which it will work fine.
