BTW, I called American Bull to "warn" them. The woman took my name and party size as if it were a reservation, but I know they don't "do" reservations. Still, if anyone gets there first, the "reservation" is under Ray. It would be cool to get the high tables in the center of the bar (I didn't specify). If I get there first, I'll try for those.

Ray - I hope you didn't mention that Mike was coming. That brawl he started last time when the guy whipped out the DSLR was pretty ugly. :D

Great to see everyone tonight! It's always fun to see familiar faces and meet new people from around the bay.

Below is a link to some quickly posted JPGs straight from the GF1. All are "Dynamic B&W" at ISO 3200. The Transamerica shot is from a Lower ISO the other day. Tomorrow I'll process a few others in Lightroom and also post the RAW files so you can fiddle with them as you like.

Oh that was an epic beer and gear meeting indeed. And it was definitely a BAD BAD influence for my GAS nerves. I'm now very much interested in M5, GF-1 and that beautiful SWC/M! :p And Canon III, P, Barnacks and so on...

Randy, I am sorry to hear about your grandma. I look forward to seeing you next time.

Great to see everyone, and I was impressed that nobody heckled the karaoke singers.

And who knew Robert and Ray had such good voices! I swear they must have practiced Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On before tonight. Just too polished- the hand gestures, looking into each other's eyes, a little scat thrown in. Great job nevertheless!
 
Forgot to mention... Keep your eye out for the Challenge I'll be setting up for December. It will take place in SF most likely, should be fun! Hopefully we can get a big turnout.
