Based od dev times of such films as APX 400 and RPX 400, and Bergger datasheets Rodinal times I'd suggest DD-X 1+4 12 minutes in 20C.

Where did you get your Bergger 400? I've had some on backorder for several months.
X-Ray,
I bought my Panchro 400 in 120 at B&H.

Well; DDX is terrific with Pancro 400! Very impressed with the film, very fine grained and great tone. Recipe I used:
DDX 1+4 9 minutes, agitate first minute then 10 seconds on the top of very minute, Ilfostop 1 minute, Ilford Fixer 6 minutes as per Bergger datasheet, rinse, and wetting agent.
S,
This is the recommended time I was going to try. Glad you got great results.
Interesting to note the recommended time for Tri-X using DDX 1+4 is only 7 minutes. This makes me want to try Panchro 400 at 320 ISO and find out the time for DDX 1+4.

Here's a recipe I used and the results I got, for reference:
Hasselblad 553 ELX, Zeiss Sonnar 4/150mm CF T* lens
~ 1/250, f 11 (I think, I don't remember exactly, but it was a hazy day)
Pancro 400
Developed in Ilford DD-X 1:4
2 min pre-soak
12 min dev @ 20º C

I found the pre-soak boosts the film speed. If you don't pre-soak I only got about 250 ISO.
The two different layers of emulsion seem to like to be pre-softened to get fill speed. My time for 400 ISO was around 12 minutes also. DDX makes nice negatives.

The two developers I use for Pancro 400 are D76 and Spur acurol N. To get the 400 speed I use D76 1:1 20c for 13 min with a 1 min pre-soak.

Oops! time for development in D76 was 17 min. Its 13min for Spur at 200 iso.

I did
9 minutes in DDx 1+4 in my CPE2 at 68 degree.

H,
A JOBO processor requires about 20% less time than doing an inversion tank? Is my thinking correct?
Your image looks like full development to me.

I think that is true, but I generally don't. I want to say I actually did this at 7:30 because I had just read that you should compensate and I used to do 9:00 minutes. Either way, I was really happy with this roll

H,
I would not argue with your success. You seemed to hit it just right.
