Hi everyone!
I Have now tried the Nokton SC with the Bessa T and can report that I am quite pleased with the kit. In fact, I love it! Focusing with the T body is great and I love the built in diopter. This is my first M-body so the only thing I can compare it to is the CL I also just picked up. I like the size of the CL, but the small focusing area (at least in comparison to the T) is for me a little harder to get used to. Despite the fact that the VF is seperate on the T, I prefer it a bit more, nice, clear and like its name, bright. Also I am just learnig the ins and outs of using a spot meter, while the meter on the T I have used before in the form of the Bessa L. I ususally have a good guess when outdors and use the meter to see if I am in the ballpark. But When indoors I am less confident, so in deciding to test the T and SC I went to Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg and relied on the meter to give me an idea on exposure. I took some picts with TriX, these were then developed in D-76 for a slightly longer time to get more highlights. I present here some shots from the church, as well as some others from Colonial Williasmburg. The shot of the stair has a large speck imbedded in the emulsion side of the negative and has nothing to do with the lens itself. The lighing condistions inside the church were low light with the shots around f4, although I did not keep notes. The lighting outside was on an overcast day, so not a lot of light was coming in from the windows. If you are looking for an inexpensive M body don't be afraid to try the T, especially if you can find someone who has it and fondle it yourself before buying. As for lenses the SC is my only m-mount at the moment. I have a cheap industrar-26 that I might be able to use in future, if I get the adapter from Cameraquest but my long term goal is to get two more CV lenses, a 35 or 28 and a 50 1.5. As for now, I am going a trip to CA soon and plan on taking the T with me (rather than the CL)!
