Voted for M6TTL.
Although I don't have it, this is the Leica I'm looking for at the moment.

The best M for me is my black paint MP!

---> Hey, I am a poet, and I didn't even know it! ;P

For Leica the M6 and a second place for the M3 (metering, loading) But the winner is
Hexar rf.

I own M3/ M6 .72 / M7 .58/Hexar rf (and af) would love to hold an MP but have not even seen one.

I voted for the MP cos' I got one. Old Leica quality with accurate meter. Like a M3 with meter. If I need AE, I will go for M8 used.

Here's my MP.

has to be M3
the all time excellence, when engineers could build things without worry about selling price.

Is it wrong to say a Bessa R2A ;-)? Come on, if there's one thing I despise about M's it's how long & tricky they are to load. I'd hate to try reload one of those things in the rain or something.

But if it must be an M, M6's are the bomb. MP's are just too expensive for what they do. Can't handle a camera without a meter, I really don't see the point of not having some form of meter in the camera body, even if you're going to ignore it. The results for MP's & M6's speaks volumes for peoples preference's as well I believe.

I have a 1985 M6 Classic - which was my 1st Leica rangefinder (bought it new) - and since owning it for almost 25 years, will never part with it. :D

Doesn't mean I don't admire the other M models ;)...

I haven't used others but I voted for the M6 classic due to being able to find them second hand at a decent price and that they have a light meter. I would love to have an MP, but they are still quite pricey.
