That's even better. Force it on yourself. Either you'll still hate it and then when you return to 135 you'll be re-inspired, or, you'll learn to like it and find a new mode of expression. Either way, you win

I couldn't get used to the wheel focusing and the dim patch. On the plus side it was smaller and (I think) lighter than my Kiev 4a.
As for me still using film? I'm having lots of fun with my black brassy spotmatic and a Super Takumar 105 2.8 (great portrait lens). Something to be said for small old SLR's as conversation starters. People walk up and say, "Gosh, I used to have one of those back in..." Or, "Is that really a FILM camera?" Or, "How many megabytes on that baby?" Sometimes I say "Thirty-four" just to see what they do.
For street RF shooting: M2 with a fast 35mm lens.

An M2 with 35mm lens.
what he said... M2 + 35 = perfection

The best camera is one that still works!
I sold my S2 Black dial and hung onto my Kiev ll figuring that if I was going to own a camera and lens that I felt ergonomically ill at ease with it may as well be something worth $150.00 and not $750.00
Maybe a return to a good Canon?

i have just been offered and have accepted the temporary use of a user sp and 50/105 lens combo.
looks like i'm gonna be shooting some film very soon.
turns out the 'best user' is a rff member!

Joe, you are right about this forum being unlike any other. Rick Beckreth (newspaperguy) once loaned me a Kiev because I didn't know what they were and had never seen one. He just sent it one day. I played with it for a few weeks, then returned it - the start of a great friendship.

Only in RF world that I prefer Canon to Nikon.
Part of it is that I got my Canon P for nothing, little chance that I'll be able to do that with a Nikon S2
But viewfinder-wise, I agree with some of you. I've been spoiled by the crisp-edged RF-patch.
