This heron was quietly foraging next to the cliff path within a few feet of passers by.

Pelican, sydney coast, 27 December 2025. #7148
All the pelicans around here look like this. This one was swimming around in a rock pool on the rock platform. Usually they hang around the coastal lagoons and adjacent beaches. The attraction here was some rock fisherman nearby.
