Camera and Coffee

I have a light meter just like the one in this pic. Can anyone tell me a way to make sure it is working correctly without taking a roll of film.

test it against another known meter.

Test it against the sunny 16 rule.

This meter needs mercury batteries, a silver cell battery adaptor, or a modification to the meter. (diode soldered into battery line)

You can use the built in meters in your cameras to compare to the unknown meter.

I added the M3 wind lever to my departed M6TTL because I like the way it feels, but it still isn't half as sexy as an M3. I'd say those Contax IIa's come a real close second, though.

That does look nice :). Is the swap easy to do? I might think about doing that on my M6 if it's something I can do without major disassembly.

This is a mighty stupid thread, but today I'm in the right mood ;) Hi, here's my M4-2, bought a week ago, my first Leica ever, along with some other favorite things of mine..

The leica is in a rather shabby condition, 1\15 is different every time ;) other speeds are fine. Don't know if it was worth the price, but I bought it impulsively. Let me know what you think

Will you trust me when I say there was a cup of coffee on this table, but it didn't make the final edit? :D

Kevin,

That M3 winder looks great indeed.

btw, why does your red dot look black? You didn't take that photo with the newly released M8-a (which renders all reds and magentas totally black) , did you ;)

Basil, also excellent taste in fountain pens. Despite being out of the focus area, it's easily recognizable as a Pelikan. A 600, perhaps?

Melanie: Oooh, that's so, so lovely. I have a black OM-2 that needs some work. Maybe I should do it myself; I'd send it off to Clint or John but funds are low and Christmas looms.

Peter & Frank: The Ringwood was indeed fortunate that day. Sheesh, you almost don't need breakfast feasting your eyes on that assemblage. Almost.

Derek: I like how you spread your love among different makes; perhaps you can get a job at the UN?

Peter/Physio: Nicely lit, and a very pretty Kiev! What is the coffee?

Gene: Seems you go to Starbucks occasionally? Can't wait to see Trippin' images.

Jody: Nice shot and great kitchen! Can you come clean mine? :D

Update from the new house

Update from the new house

Came home to find that my wife had made her way to unpacking the photography supplies and had arranged all my "old" stuff on the top of this small book case...never knew I had so many :D

cameras-s.jpg

There's the Canon QL-17 at the back, a FED-2d with a Jupiter 8, a Zorki 4 with a Jupiter 12, an Olympus Trip 35 and ye-old trusty Nikon FE.
Only the Contaflex doesn't work. Not exactly sure what is in the mug, some French roasted fair-trade stuff.

Oh yeah, and a bit of light reading underneath...

He possibly removed it and repainted it, I think that nemeng.com has a little blurb about doing that..

Saturday morning family portrait, with real Javanese coffee and Kodak mug:

From left to right: Fujinon SW S 1:5.6/50mm with finder, Fujinon SW S 1:5.6/65mm with finder, Fujinon AE 1:3.5/100mm mounted on Fujica G690BL, Fujinon T S 1:5,6/180mm with finder.

Cheers,

Abbazz

Abbaz: a really great mug you have there ;)
Vladhed: That's pretty hardcore. Oh, and Sontag is so very overrated, imho ;)
jl-lb.ms / John: You're right, only it's a Toledo 700 ;)) a recent find on the flea market. I always knew the RFFers are the right people to appreciate such things ;)

My latest, from left to right:

The Ikon 426 finder attached to the R-D1.
The framelines for this are ~ 30/45/75mm and the whole frame is ~21mm. So perfect for 15mm, 21mm, 28mm and 50mm lenses on the Epson!

Polaroid 600SE with 127mm lens (75mm lens behind the Epson).
This is just a bit of fun, really! The auction came with some out of date film, and I've been having great fun with it.

Re-chromed 0.65x M2 with the Canon 50mm f/0.95 lens with original filter and hood.
These speak for themselves!
