John - love the F2 and plain prism. The cache of this site among others means an old S2 will cost you 5 times what an F or F2 will - lenses even more. Clearly rarity has something to do with it, but for the part that nostalgia might play, I always wanted an F2 and made do with lesser cameras - until now - picked one up with a 50 1.4 and DP-1 for a hundred bucks. Rangefinder it ain't, and that's because Nikon succeeded in creating the most accurate and easiest focusing finder there was.

My latest purchase.

Sorry, I missed this comment previously.

This is my second F2. My original one has a DP-1 finder and a bit of brassing but it seems to work great. This one was essentially new except for the bad foam seals. I've replaced them and installed a 36exp roll of Delta 400. I also checked the shutter speeds and they seem to be close to spec. From what I was told, this may be one of the first rolls of film thru this camera.

Oh, another Nikon vs _____ :)

That F2 looks very nice John, keep feeding her with delta, looking forward to see the results!
