Camera and Coffee

Beautiful Joe! Don't hold back post as many as you have it's a gorgeous kit.

😱 😱

Did I mention that now I wanna-'p' ?

LOL!

Oh well, the make up. I recognize it's a serious sign of how superficial I am but the recipe is simple.

- Normal white sticky labels, the thicker the better.
- Apply light coat of silver paint, in my case it was Citadel boltgun metal (from the model painting set).
- Cover it with transparent sticky film to give consistency (the one used to cover books works nice).
- Cut 2 or 3 pieces to the appropiate shape so you can cover the whole area.
- Put them in place.

Now the 7 looks more like a 7s, but I'd have preferred a working meter cell anyway 😉

PS: a lot easier to use simply silver sticky labels but I was bored that day.

If all goes well, an L1 will join the flock.

Congrats Brian ! 😀

Remember, if in the end it's not of your liking, you have a court of Canon adorators here 😉

Happy Hallowe'en!

Happy Hallowe'en!

My Lynx14e with a truly scary homemade lens hood (just the filter ring -- the whole rubber lens hood blocked the rangefinder window!), and a Hallowe'en cuppa' Java, ready to take trick or treating with the kids . . .

Again, Happy Halloween!

Is tea okay??? Here is my collection. Believe it or not, they are all users, and I try to make sure I use every lens and camera at least once a month. There is actually not that much overlap in focal lengths -- two 50's (one f/2, one f/1.2), 2 35s, (one on the Hexar, one 35/1.4). In any case, excuse the technical aspects...using the old digital point and shoot.

Oh, just for the record, the things in the picture are from left to right:
Hexar AF
Macha-iri genmaicha (tea)
M-Hexanon 50mm f/1.2
Cup of Jasmine tea
Hexar RF w/ Leica 35mm f/1.4 ASPH
Fuji G690 with 180mm f/5.6 lens and finder
Leica MP w/ Leica 50mm f/2
Fuji 100mm f/3.5 lens
Mamiya 7II w/ 80mm f/4 lens
Voigtlander 21mm f/4
Mamiya 150mm f/4.5
Voigtlander 15mm f/4.5
Leica 75mm f/1.4
Leica 90mm f/2.8 Tele-Elmarit M (wetzlar)
Canon 135mm f/3.5
Voigtlander 28mm f/1.9

Rich -- yes it is. The case looks a little nicer in person...it has less red in it.

Can we get new default labels based on the posts made? Otherwise Stuart will have to change his to "Black MP, HEe, Hee, hee.

I bet he has no problem focussing it!

Soviet-American Friendship Society

My Fed 2 and Argus C-Four. Brown leather cases, solid machined metal, powerful look and feel, taking advantage of German technology and ready to rule the world.

They bring back the glory days of the Cold War, don't they?

No coffee cup, sorry.

Thanks Doug. They give me a lot of pleasure. I don't think there is anything I enjoy as much as photography. Everything there except the Mamiya 7II and Leica MP w/ summicron was bought second-hand. It was all still very expensive, but for the amount of joy it gives me and the time it will last, I don't think it is a bad decision.

Better photo(s)

Better photo(s)

I finally managed to develop and scan some "camera & coffee" shots that were taken with a REAL camera (Rolleiflex with Rolleinar close-up lens)...

Here they are, in all their glory 🙂
