Stitches removal? Yikes! Nothing too severe I hope. I had my little mishap at work a while back and after waiting the appropriate amount of time I took all four of my stitches out my self(DON"T TRY THIS AT HOME, KIDS!)--the visit to have the doc remove 'em was 90% of the cost to put them in.
Stitches out=on the mend I trust. Looking forward to the pix.

Rob,
After the 7 to 10 days wait, the Doc just wants to see if it's healing well with no infection. It's actually no big deal removing stitches, although depending on where on your body they are, it can be difficult to reach them for removal.
Greyhoundman,
Hope all is now well! :)

Greyhoundman,
Curious, but what part of Mexico is Ohio near again?

Regardless, viva la senoritas !!! And Happy Mother's Day to those who might be one ~ ; - )

"Looking forward to the senoritas. " sayeth greyhoundman.

Mmmmmm. Time to dye my hair & learn some Spanish!

I mostly enjoy the music. It really lifts the spirits & gets my motor running.

I shot a friend's Latin/American wedding last fall, and really enjoyed the music/energy/JOY of the whole wedding.
Great traditions and family values made for great photos too. VIVA! :D

I wanted to attend a Cinco de Mayo celebration but wasn't able to find one event scheduled in this area! I was hoping to get shots of the wonderful dancers in their beautiful costumes - senors & senoritas alike!

When is Cinco de Mayo? ;)

Cinco de Mayo means the fifth of May, the anniversary of their liberation from the French back in the 1800's. Last year there were several events in this area. I don't understand why there wasn't any this year with our large Hispanic population.

Here's the three latest additions to my collection. The Olympus XA once belonged to Bill Mattocks (Thanks again Bill!) and the Walz & Canonet were obtained at the flea market. Neither of the last two work, but I hope to correct that one day.

I've got a FED 2 on the way, so more pics as soon as that gets here!

two new black beauties !

New camera, new mug ! Camera from Patrick in US, mug from my NZ buddy !

I had been meditating about playing with a Bessa for a while, but of course it had to be the 'T'affer-compliant one ;)

<snip> The Presidente brandy is great stuff. :)

If you like "Presidente", you should try "Carlos I", it's many times better. It's made by the same distillery (Pedro Domecq); their in-between is "Don Pedro"

That sure is an odd-looking camera, but it has a nice big viewfinder! :) Congratulations, and I hope you enjoy it.

My "New" Rangefinder cam (and coffee cup)

I have been so busy lately that I haven't done much photography, much less have time to post much on this site, but my wife recently gave me a cool Bolsey B-3 as a present to inspire me to take more pics. Here's a shot of the B-3, a cast aluminum-bodied circa 1953 35 mm rangefinder camera with a fixed 50 mm f2.8 lens, separate rangefinder and viewfinder windows, and a blazing fast 1/200 sec. "Wollensak dust proof shutter." I've also attached a couple of rainy day shots, all taken with Fuji 200 color print film at between f 2.8-4.0 at around 1/30-1/50th sec. (the picture of the camera is taken with a Oly Stylus Epic film P & S --- my cheapie digicam died, and somehow, I haven't had the urge to replace it too quickly).

The coffee is a strong, dark and sweet and necessary to shoot pictures in the rain at 6:00 in the morning. ;)

The new M6 invited the rest of the family (including the distant nephew) for a cup of tea. Time for a family portrait.

Wim

Ditto, great family there Wim...

Let me guess the lenses, J8 on the M6, Orion 15 28/6 on the CLE, 40 Summi on the CL, Canon 50/1.2 on the M5 ?

:)

L, simple yet beautiful looking machine, nice detail from your wife.

Doug, don't you own a T yourself, how do you like it ??

Yes Taffer, you recognized them all. I switch often, but the Orion seems very well at home on the CLE (the 28mm framelines are usable, even with glasses). In the not so distant future I'll be looking for a 35mm and/or a 90mm lens from a well reputed brand, but for the moment my FSU lenses serve me well. Not in the pic: a J3, J9 and J11.

Wim

Sorry, no coffee

Sorry, no coffee

Here just could be the best camera/lens combo ever.
